Grace Denio Litchfield, author and poet, was born in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood of New York City, Nov.19,1849. She was the daughter of Edwin Clark and Grace Hill (Hubbard) Litchfield and the sister of Francese Hubbard Litchfield Turnbull (Mrs. Lawrence Turnbull).
